What is an Essential Oil?
Essential oils are a chemical compound of the plant material that is processed and made into oil. When processing oils there are a number of ways that oils are produced. Steam distillation, water distillation, cold compress, solvent distillation, hydrosols, infusions, and more.
Applications of oils can be done in a number of ways as well: Neat or applied directly to the skin, in lotions and creams, as a hydrosol, as infusion, inhalation, misting, and diffuse.
